Project Objectives:  

bulletDVITS to audit existing network infrastructure and recommend infrastructure and software changes

bulletClient had an internally hosted maintenance intranet site which was absolutely critical to ongoing operations and requested a proposal to build a mirror server.

bulletDVITS recommended migration to Windows 2003 Small Business Server
bulletDVITS hosted Sharepoint Services site to assist with management of the technology uplift project
bulletDVITS encouraged the adoption of a well-documented Acceptable Use Policy and well as an Information Technology Policy to assist with abuse of Internet availability and to provide the employer with legal recourse in the event of abuse incidents
bulletDVITS replaced the existing workstation-based enterprise virus scanning with Trend Micro Client/Server SMB, locating and eradicating over 1000 spyware and 250 trojans and worms which had not been caught by the previously existing updated virus scanning
bulletDVITS recommended and implemented changes to the existing cable plant infrastructure to improve reliability and simplify future troubleshooting
bulletDVITS implemented a small WAN modification to add the organization's manufacturing operation to the corporate LAN
bulletDVITS integrated the existing manufacturing wireless network into the corporate network after re-designing and strengthening its security and authentication
bulletDVITS recommended outsourcing the hosting of its maintenance intranet site to a 3rd party to provide appropriate site mirroring and physical infrastructure at a far lower total cost of ownership (TCO)
